Shawna Liszewski, PA-C, specializes in cardiovascular and thoracic (CVT) surgery at Oklahoma Heart Institute (OHI).
Shawna’s inspiration to pursue a medical career began while she worked for a nutritionist. “After working for a nutritionist, while earning my undergraduate degree, I recognized how much I love learning about the human body,” she said.
Now, as Shawna works to help patients get on the path to healing and recovery, she makes it a priority to listen and encourages everyone to always ask questions. She said, “It’s important to listen to each patient’s concerns to best help that individual.”
Shawna’s education and career experience include:
• Master’s degree in physician assistant (PA) studies at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, OK, 2018
• Bachelor’s degree in biology at DePaul University in Chicago, IL, 2013
Shawna is a member of the Oklahoma Academy of Physicians Assistants (OAPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
